Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Nigel Edokpolo (he/him), a therapist at MindFirst Therapy. I identify as a member of the BIPOC community, with Nigerian, Scottish, and Irish roots. My approach to therapy is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative. Clients often describe me as confident, understanding, humorous, and empathic. I strive to bring warmth, honesty, and even a little lightness to the therapy room, because I know that working through life’s toughest moments doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. As a Black male therapist, I understand how identity, masculinity, and cultural expectations can shape our emotional experiences. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and questions around identity and belonging.
